I’m going to Argentina
I finally hit the buy button on my airline ticket reservations yesterday. So I’m going to Argentina in March. My plans are still just vague ideas which include seeing BA, a daytrip or two to Uruguay, maybe a sidetrip to a vineyard in Mendoza, and a whole lot of eating steak, chimichuri sauce, empanadas, alfajores, gelato, Argentinian wine and coffee.
If any of you have travel tips, recommendations, or friends there shoot me an email.

Hellboy – ***
Great adaptation. Not the best comic book movie EVAR, but still pretty good.

Ouch
So this morning as I’m walking out the door to go to work this guy and his son were riding down the street. The kid, who had to have been five or six at the most, was on one of those tandem extension bikes- that’s probably not the right name for the bike, but basically the dad was on his mountain bike, and fastened to his seat post is an extension that goes to the kid’s bike, which isn’t a full bike, just a rear seat main tubes, pedals that may not do much and handlebars. They seemed to be cruising along at a decent clip, but as I was walking I heard the dad say something like:
“Faster? Ok, here we go, hang on!”then >CLICK<
>BOOM<
…silence…
>WAHHH<. Basically, the tube to the kid’s tandem section uncoupled when daddy hit a small bump and the kid faceplanted and rolled a bit. Not only did I hear it, but the guys painting the house next door heard it, and people at the (other) end of my street heard the crash. I just shook my head a bit and said “ow” to myself when I saw that the kids was okay. The painters basically called the dad a retard in spanish and talked about how they were lucky there weren’t more cars on the street. I agree- The kid was lucky he wasn’t hurt more than he was- he was just boo-hoo’ing a bit, he was alright. But crap- my street’s dangerous in the morning and at 4pm- there are some (other) retards who drive these volvos – and let’s not pull any punches, but volvo station wagon drivers aren’t the best drivers (and it’s a known fact that they can’t park)- and come close to hitting anything and everything. Oh here’s a pic of the thing I was talking about

US Soccer Crap
I hate unions
full story NEW YORK (AP) — Players rejected the U.S. Soccer Federation’s offer to send their labor dispute to arbitration and instead proposed that mediation be used in an effort to get the regulars on the field for next month’s World Cup qualifier at Trinidad and Tobago.

I had a great weekend hanging out with the visitors from the UK. It was great spending time with the gang. I had so much fun, I almost feel I should stop making fun of their company’s new internal slogan. But then again, maybe I don’t feel guilty enough.
Speaking of- It’s too bad my slogan choices weren’t chosen, I could’ve used a new ipod. Otra cosa- Desde puse una mapa de hitmaps en mi blog, no he tenido ningunas cliques de Mexico. Finalmente recibi un circulo y supongo que una amiga mia esta leyendo. Hola A.!January 9, 2005 No Comments
One Goofy Slogan, ics_wtf

Is it getting better
Or do you feel the same Will it make it easier on you
Now you got someone to blame
One Source, One Team, One Goal, One. Did I disappoint you?
Or leave a bad taste in your mouth?
You act like you never had love
And you want me to go without
Well it’s too lateTonight
To drag the past out
Into the light
We’re one
But we’re not the same
We get to carry each other
Carry each other
One Source, One Team, One Goal, One.
