End of Week1 at Spear

Mmm, one week’s already gone by (at the new office). Here’s what I’ve learned this week:

-There’s a huge difference between the 1 and the 1aX or 1bX (or 38 38x, etc)

-I finally realized where all the hotties have been hiding! They all work downtown! [no offense to the south bay]

-I need to bring sunglasses so it’s not obvious when I’m staring at someone on the bus

-Speaking of the bus, man, those are self-esteem machines. What do I mean by that? Well, no matter how bad I feel or down I am, there will be at least 5 bigger losers on the bus. Thanks Muni!

-Offices are excellent places to spread disease. Hopefully I’ll be over my cold by FridaySunday

-I’ll think of more things after lunch

Comment Spam

Well, I knew it was too good to last. The plugin I’m using for bloxsom’s comments is called writeback. It has (supposedly) some built-in blacklisting of commenter’s ip address, but I found out this morning (34 comment spam messages) that it doesn’t work too well. I may have to disable comments on the blog unless I can either fix this plugin, or find a new one. :(

Good Morning!

A funny thing happened on the way to work. Well, not really funny. . . But this wouldn’t be the way I’d want to start my day.

The whole thing could have been avoided (read the pic descriptions), but it’s the guy in the truck’s fault I guess. But I’m not a lawyer, I only play one on TV.

New Cube And Angie on a Horse

A rare Sunday post. . . But I’m downtown testing the phone lines from my new desk. I don’t want to come in to any fun surprises tomorrow.

A lot of the place is still being put together. I feel bad for the ops guys, they’re being run ragged, but they’ll make it. I just hope they get some time off. They’ve been working all weekend, and they’ll be working all night from the looks of things.

HappyHour was pretty fun, thanks to all of those of you that showed up. (Booo to Marcie who got an upset tummy after the DIY Nacho Bar at CYBS)

Afterwards Pak, Julie, Angie and I headed to my favorite restaurant for some food. Dizzam it was good. I got tipsy too. Wheeeeeee!

Who Furnt Wozy? It got ALL Cibusy Zeprd3 in that shit.

Tomorrow’s post–mariachis in SoSF!

Interesting Blog

Here’s an interesting blog. It’s a site where readers can anonymously confess to unethical acts they may have commited (in a business setting).

The interesting thing is that this bring a lot of traffic to their site, but how many of the readers will read the other posts, or find out more about the parent company and their services. Will any of those few who do use or buy those services?

Office Move

Well, it looks like the office is finally moving after all. Our last day up here in Mill Valley is on Friday. It’s going to be a busy day of packing but then on Monday we start at the new place. This will be the first time I’ve actually lived *and* worked in SF since moving here. It should be interesting.
