Turns out Harvard student Kaavya Viswanathan didn’t plagarize. Apparently, she had a ghost writer, so she didn’t write the book at all

I like this line of the gossip column (it’s not really an article, it’s a page 6 item) the most:

But the Harvard Independent wonders, “So how much ‘packaging’ did 17th Street do for ‘Opal Mehta?’ Was it, like a ‘Sweet Valley’ novel, brought to life by an anonymous writer for hire on the basis of an outline by Viswanathan?
