I was bored and was looking staring blankly at my GDM Login page this am. Yes I was tired. I decided to download some Kill Bill wallpapers and change the xml file that had my old GDM Theme- which as of this morning was a theme called “amor amorillo” and features boobers- que techie, no?
I didn’t do anything too fancy, but I basically made a png of a shot of Vivica A. Fox as Vernita Green aka Copperhead and made little icons of the Hattori Hanzo logo. Then I just altered an existing xml file from another theme and tar’ed it up. Like I said- nothing fancy but here’s a screenshot.
If you want a copy of the tarball I’ll add it here. I’m not sure how long I’ll have it up though- I’m pretty sure using a still from a movie site for a theme isn’t kosher with certain parties.
Fyi- if you make a tar of your new GDM theme, you’re supposed to include a screenshot. I couldn’t figure out how to take a screenshot when I wasn’t logged in, but this article helped a lot. There’s a great blog entry on that site about a hardware review in Tuscany that would make my dad envious.
