I thought I should set the record straight so my 3 tormentors commentors can at least have their facts straight when they make fun of me.

I do not have cable – but wouldn’t mind getting it. But I hate comcast. I want a DirectTV thing, but my landlord told me that there’s no roof access (I’d argue the legality of this with him, but I’m not that interested) so I would need to get cable instead. But again, I hate comcast. If I did have cable, I would have a DVR, either Tivo or my own MythBox. So, here’s the channel rundown for you, assuming I have the rabbit-ears up:

• 2 (Fox) Always clear, always showing crap – Prison Break? Uhh right. Fortunately they still have good cartoons.
  
  
• 4 (Kron) Always clear, only two good shows though- the news (and Gary Radnich) and Bay Cafe, although that show can get on my nerves at time with the ass-kissing. Kron really really really fucked up when they tried to renegotiate that contract with GE a long time ago.
  
  
• 5 (CBS) CBS has some decent shows- NCIS (which is surprisingly fun), the various eye candies of CSI (annoying shows, but a good way to turn your brain off for an hour), and some other crap. Apparently I should be watching Without a Trace, because I’m missing teen orgies. I tried watching it for that blonde and the puertoriqueña but I couldn’t get into the show. And don’t get me started on Cold Case or The Unit. . . btw- the guy who writes tvgasm.com has a good idea: The Unit Drinking Game!
  
  
• 7 (ABC) comes in pretty clearly most of the time- but then again, why would I want to watch Freddie? Oh yeah, me- I like Madchen Amick. Fortunately I don’t need the signal to be too clear- I can’t read the subtitles, but I can understand the grandma. What else is on ABC? I’m not into Lost, so I don’t watch it.. .Oh yeah, Grey’s Anatomy (yuck).
  
  
• 9 (PBS) Frontline and Saturday morning cooking shows rule. Well, not Joanne Wier’s “Wier Cooking in the City”. Something about her sounds so condescending I want to kick her in the head.. . . Too bad KQED is always running so many @$% pledge drives with crappy psuedo-flamenco guitarists though. BTW- PBS “concerts” suck. Whomever “films” the shows needs to learn not to cut away so much. The director for all these concerts is probably the same guy- some Brit ex-pat who got kicked out of the BBC because he was trying to convince his higher-ups that MTV-style editing was cool.
  
  
• 20 & 44 I get these two channels mixed up- and sometimes I have to re-adjust the rabbit ears. But lovely Veronica (mmm Veronica) is on one of them and I think Smallville (mmm Chloe) is on the other. Otherwise, these channels are full of poop.
  
  
• 32 – 32 is some weird channel that rotates Asian shows and German world news (in both German and English)- and yes, as Angie said, I do watch it on occasion, but not as much as she thinks- I mostly watch it to see the soccer news.
  
  
• 66 – Ahh 66- the spanish station (or the only one of them I can get semi-clearly). No it’s not clear all the time, but when it is I can watch Pepsi Musica, action movies, and the weather chick during the news (HOT).
  
  

Please note the above- NO NBC- although I have gotten the rabbit ears to pick it up on occasion, but it wasn’t worth the trouble. SNL has sucked for YEARS and there’s nothing else on- well Vegas but . . .

So, that’s the rundown. Most of the time I’m either veggin’ out watching one of the above or watching a DVD from Netflix.
